About the Team

Our Darwin office is Territory‑proud, with a long‑standing reputation for dependable delivery and practical, on‑the‑ground engineering. We work across the NT, from urban centres to remote communities and the Tiwi Islands, where climate, logistics and access shape every decision. Working closely with government and industry, the team delivers transport, built environment, defence and education projects, developing resilient solutions suited to tropical conditions and real‑world constraints. The work is varied and meaningful, backed by a close‑knit local team and strong relationships across the Territory.

About the Role


Reporting to the Associate Director - Civil, you will play a key role in the planning, management, and delivery of complex engineering projects. You will monitor quality, cost, and schedule to ensure successful project outcomes while collaborating with senior colleagues on detailed design. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to work on a wide variety of projects, contribute to ADG's continued growth, and develop within a supportive team.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent)
  • Working towards CPEng (desirable)

Skills & Experience

  • 2-5+ years of civil engineering design experience (advantageous)
  • Experience with 12D software (preferred but not essential)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong problem-solving and critical review capabilities
  • Experience preparing detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
  • Understanding of design and commercial risk
  • Contract management experience
  • Ability to engage effectively with clients, project managers, and architects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
