The Gold Coast is where ADG began. Long‑standing relationships with major developers and a unique partnership with theme park operators have also established the team as a national specialist in this space.

 

About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Gold Coast. Reporting to the Associate Director, this is a pivotal role focused on planning, managing, and delivering a diverse range of complex civil engineering projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes by managing quality, costs, and schedules to consistently exceed client expectations. This includes overseeing and reviewing project planning and detailed design, delivering work to a high standard, and ensuring solutions are both innovative and commercially sound.

 

What We’re Looking For

    • 8+ years post-grad experience
    • Strong background in land development / built environment projects
    • Experience in:
      • Subdivision / land development design / documentation
      • Flooding and hydraulic assessments
      • Water and sewer design / modelling nice to have
      • Stormwater quality modelling using MUSIC
    • Experience with industry-standard stormwater and flood modelling software used in SEQ, such as:
      • DRAINS (hydrology and drainage design)
      • TUFLOW / HEC-RAS (flood modelling and hydraulics)
      • Exposure to XP-RAFTS / XP-STORM desirable
    • Working knowledge of SEQ WS&S Code and local authority requirements (CoGC, BCC etc)
    • Proficient in 12d, AutoCAD, PC Drains / Drains
    • RPEQ desirable (or working towards)

     

    Key capabilities we are targeting:

    • Ability to deliver civil design from DA through detailed design
    • Construction Stage Services is desirable not essential
    • Experience preparing and coordinating stormwater management plans, servicing reports, and hydraulic assessments
    • Strong understanding of approval pathways and authority requirements
    • Experience responding to authority RFIs (e.g. CoGC, Urban Utilities etc)
    • Ability to coordinate with other disciplines (hydraulics, planners, enviro, survey)
    • Able to manage workstreams and take ownership of design packages with a good level of independence
    • Produces clear, concise, client-ready documentation
    • Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers/designers
