About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for our Hobart practice. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature in order to meet client requirements and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction and profitability.

You will also be responsible for project outcomes through the monitoring of quality, costs and schedule to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.

 

We are looking for someone with

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia or equivalent
  • CPEng or working towards
  • Skills & Knowledge
  • 5 -10+ years of demonstrated civil engineering design experience
  • Experience in the technical delivery of built form and greenfield projects in areas such as earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, water and sewer.
  • Experience using 12D software is considered valuable but not a prerequisite
  • Ability to think and solve problems and critically assess and review designs by others
  • Experience in production of detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
  • Understands design and commercial risk
  • Contract management skills/experience
  • Experience in dealing with clients, liaising with project managers and architects effectively
