About the Role

Our Brisbane practice is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering a diverse range of engineering projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements.

You will be responsible for achieving outstanding project outcomes through the monitoring of quality, costs, and schedules to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on a consistent basis. This will involve the carrying out and managing of project planning and detailed designs for all types of projects and all aspects of the project; ensuring the designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with the needs and expectations of our clients. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and driven individual to step into a role which offers endless potential for growth and development. Working closely with our National Market Sector Lead – Transport, you will be involved in developing and shaping ADG’s Transport Infrastructure Strategy across SEQ, whilst leveraging off a diverse selection of secured major projects to accelerate ADG’s growth and expansion in the market.

We are looking for someone with…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • RPEQ
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of demonstrated design experience with particular focus on local and state government projects
  • Ability to think and solve problems
  • Able to critically assess and review designs by others
  • Experience in production of detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
  • Understands design and commercial risk
  • Capable of producing clear and concise Business Cases, Planning Reports and Design Development Reports
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Experience in liaising with project managers and architects effectively
  • Strong communication skills across all parties
  • Able to maintain relationships at different levels within client organisations
  • Desire to mentor and support the delivery team as required to ensure ongoing improvement of internal design capabilities
