About the Role:



Based at our Sunshine Coast office, we are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for undertaking civil detailed design and documentation in accordance with relevant design standards.
  • Produce high-quality detailed designs and documentation in software such as 12D and AutoCAD that meet ADG standards.
  • Ensure project success by monitoring scope, quality, costs, and schedules, leading to profitable project outcomes.
  • Track project progress, including quality, costs, and schedules, to consistently meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Foster collaboration between disciplines and project team members, both internal and external, to ensure consistent and coordinated design and documentation.
  • Maintain an understanding of construction methodology to inform design.
  • Assist in the development of fee proposals and tender submissions.

 


Qualifications and Skills:



To be successful in your application, you should have:


  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in the design and documentation of earthworks, drainage, road works, and sewer/water using software like 12D, AutoCAD, PCDrain, and PCSewer.
  • An Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent or currently enrolled to complete.
  • The ability to use theoretical knowledge of design and principles to analyse and interpret information.
  • Good knowledge of drafting requirements for local authorities and government departments.
  • Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes.
  • Experienced in the production of detailed engineering design and drawings commensurate with the level of duties.
  • Experience in computer-aided design software including AutoCAD, 12D, and Civil 3D.
  • Experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings and construction documentation commensurate with the level of duties.
  • The ability to scope project work, set time allocations, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
