The team delivers value engineering solutions by creating structures with performance efficiencies and draws on market and industry connections to make things happen. 

About the Role

Our Brisbane (Toowong) office now has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer with significant design experience, solid communication skills and the desire to lead and mentor other engineers within the group. This is a pivotal role supporting the Structures team to manage projects, delegate workload and interface with key clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Structural team and quickly gain exposure to projects and clients locally, as well as our team and projects across Australia. 

Day-to-day you will be responsible for undertaking varied engineering tasks as part of a project team, successfully delivering to our clients’ requirements. You will have the opportunity to run projects independently and gain experience which will lead you to a more senior role. 

We are looking for someone with …

• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years industry experience
• An understanding of current construction practices and their impact on design
• CPEng and RPEQ qualified (or working to attain this)
• Design experience in large concrete frame buildings and steel structures across industrial, commercial, and retail sectors
• Solid understanding of geotechnical and basement walls/retention, seismic / wind loads on buildings
• Knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and their impact on design
• Solving complex problems
• Looking for innovative and out of the box solutions and designs
